Me and my friends always make Hipster jokes. About everything.
They're probably too deep for you. You wouldn't understand them.

Funden, go listen to System of a Down.
I would, but I'm too busy listening to Nightwish.
Soon though, because I'm always looking for new music, and now that I have double the memory of my old mp3 player...

I'm not big on System of a Down, although I end up listening to them a lot since my gf's obsessed with them. I force her to listen to QOTSA though, so it's ok lol. And I have become fond of some of the stuff from their self titled album.

I want to make a X > Y post, but I love them both so much D:

Here's
QOTSA
back in 98 before my uncle left the band. Another one of my
favorites
from the same show.
I hate to sound biased, but their
first album
is really the best IMO. Back when my uncle helped write most of the songs. It's not just because he was in it, it's because I really didn't like the direction they went after Songs for the Deaf.

I'm gonna go the cliche route and say I like songs for the deaf best. I do like all their stuff, but the first album is *!@#in awesome for sure...particularly "Mexicola" and "Wakin on the Sidewalks". My one favorite song from them is from neither album actually: it's "Better Living Through Chemistry" from Rated R.

Mexicola
is sick as hell.

♥ System
As for QOTSA, I think I like Rated R best. But I'm not really sure.

Old
System of a Down!
Here's the order I put the albums in:
1. Self-titled
2. Steal This Album
3. Toxicity
4. Mesmerize
5. Hypnotize
But what can I say, I started listening to them before they got huge, and I really didn't like the direction they took after Steal This Album, they went a lot more mainstream after that and got SUPER overplayed. Namely BYOB.
Toxicity got pretty overplayed too. Chop Suey, Arials, and Toxicity really lost their punch after being played constantly everywhere you went.
Agree completely. System of a Down was pretty cool when they first came out - they had a very original sound. Nowadays, I wouldn't listen to them of my own accord.

Yeah I stopped listening to them for years after Mesmerize/Hypnotize came out, until just in the recent months I picked up their self titled album again.

I love
Aimee Allen
. Yes, that's a cover of a Sublime song, but she's magnificent.
Here's a non-cover song

Refer to my second sig for a good trance remix of a classic Sonic song.

Random music thought time: I gotta say, I will always be of the opinion that "Sympathy for the Devil" is the greatest song ever written. "House of the Rising Sun" and "All Along the Watchtower" are both tied for second...oddly enough, I couldn't say any of these are my absolute favorite song, just the ones that, IMO, are best-written.

Solution .45 is an AMAZING band. Christian Älvestam is the vocalist; you might know him as the ex-vocalist of Scar Symmetry. If you loved his work from Scar Symmetry, then I recommend that you give Solution .45 a listen.
Never really cared for deathcore. Suicide Silence puts on a pretty damn good show though.
Contribution.

The music from Portal 2/Portal and Okami/Okami-den are pretty good if you like video-game music. Otherwise, I'm more into Jazzy music like
In The Mood
.
