Just a couple of quick questions everyone and I'm not sure if its in the tanking guide or not. If it is the i pray the n00b hammer will strike me down. haha. Well anyways I followed Nystali's Unholy spec and with the last 8 points I'm in a pickle.
1) Would Summon Gargoyle or Master Of Ghouls be better for tanking?
and
2) If I choose Master Of Ghouls do I benefit in anyway while having the pet out? i.e Threat generation through its DPS.
If you guys could help me out that would be awesome. Thank you!

Personally I would take master of ghouls if you had to pick one or the other. If you have the spare points without losing tanking talents, take both.
I currently have both, and while I rarely use gargoyle while tanking, he does occasionally come in handy. The problem is that the gargoyle is an RP hog, and I use a lot of RP to keep unholy blight up, use rune strikes, and death coil.
Generally I only use the gargoyle on dps-race fights, where the boss needs to die very quickly. In that situation, I get initial threat and use up my runes to build runic power, cast unholy blight, then use empower rune weapon to get my runes and runic power back quickly. At that point you have enough leeway to use the gargoyle and keep generating runic power to keep him active. While the gargoyle is out, you really dont have enough RP generation to use rune strike or deathcoil much though, so its a balancing act.

The ghoul does not add to your threat, bu tit is a significant DPS boost while tanking. My ghoul does more than 200 DPS on average, and when you're in tanking gear you lose a lot of personal DPS output (even as a deathknight) - that extra 200 DPS makes you almost like having an extra damage dealer along in the raid, and if the ghoul dies it isnt really a big deal.
Further, I use my ghoul as an extra 'health potion' whenever I take a spike of damage while tanking. Death pact drops the ghoul for 20% of my health (soon to be 40%), and it's on a seperate cooldown from healthstones and health potions.
In the next patch, the ghoul will (with the glyph) be doing even more damage, and with the glyph and talents he'll be much easier to keep alive during instances and raids (70% aoe avoidance, 40% more stamina) - the only issue i really have with the ghoul in it's current state is that he dies quite often to aoe damage.
Oh, one other perk, if the ghoul is on the verge of dying you can always corpse explode him for an easy 3-4k aoe damage =P

Just be careful with him. The first time I tanked on my DK in Hellfire Ramparts, on the 4th pull, my ghoul ran off around the corner and attacked the first boss, died quickly, then we got zerged and murdered by about 20 mobs, and wiped. After that I've just left him on passive and used him only on main bosses when there's nothing left to aggro. He does nothing for threat anyway, and if your DPS can't handle the fight, he's not going to change that.
