I encountered a similar glitch while leveling my mage a few weeks after the TBC launch.
While on the zeppelin from orgrimmar to the undercity I got disconnected, and when I'd logged on again I had appeared inside a mountain in Stonetalon mountains, able to swim and interact with swimming undercity NPCs.
I recorded it all, but I'm unable to find the file right now. I'll provide a youtube link once I find it.
lol. Apparently UC is the most bugged city in WoW =P
