According to the tooltip it only applies to Blood Strike. If anyone has evidence to the contrary, please present it.

Trash pulls are damn well meaningless and time fillers.
I think trash being time fillers makes them important. I'd rather cut through the trash faster and get to the boss quicker... take in to account that people often run multiple instances back to back, it is a time saver. Granted, my current group setup has no trouble with any bosses (and I am blood too, eagerly awaiting the next patch)
