There was no place to run. Not really. They had the advantage of a distraction initially, but not here.
Chi didn't quite understand the gravity of the situation, running up to Alice and hugging her uninjured leg and smiling broadly. At the girl's dismal expression, locked up at Samuel's knife, Chi followed her gaze and stared at the sharp edged weapon, "Medi--?"
"Help, Chi," Alice whispered.
The Meditite's expression went from excited to serious, as she recognized the desperation in her trainer's voice. The strain was evident, yet the Pokemon still reached out with her mind, palm overtaken by violet glow, in an attempt to wrest the knife away psychically.

At the tug Samuel clenched his hand tighter about the knife. "Meditite. Move please. This is for your own good."
Cynis propped himself up and forced himself to try and stand.

"That it?" Felicia asked, pointing at one of the former warehouses with the museum and gym side splayed in all its glitzy glamour over the doors.

Samuel shook his head sadly. "You don't really want this. Its amazing what such indoctrination can do. Scizor." Snapping to attention, the steel/bug type eyed the psychic fighter. "Restrain him. But don't hurt him more than you have to."
"Scizor." Rushing forward, the pokemon tried to grab meditite in one of his steel claws.
Having regained his feet, Cynis listened to the strangely garbed man with evident interest. Holding one hand against the side of his head where he could feel the dampness of blood matting his hair, Cynis grinned a little private smile to himself as he drew a pokeball form his belt.

Alice balled a hand into a fist, "SHE. IS. A. GIRL!" the youth shouted, fighting the pain in her leg and standing up. "Chi! Confusion.
On him!

The Meditite nodded, not wasting time. She ceased her first attack on the knife and instead attempted to press a muddling, psychic assault on Samuel's mind with what time she had before the Scizor closed the gap.

Samuel stumbled, holding a hand against his head and hiding his face amongst the shadows of his cowl. In the meantime, the Scizor grasped the meditite between its pincered claw and tightened it securely like a manacle around the other pokeman's waist.
"Stuka!" Cynis shouted, throwing his pokeball. "Scratch!"
With a screech the Murkrow spawned directly against Samuel's arm, talons clawing at the limb raised in automatic defence to protect his face.
Grabbing Alice, Cynis pulled her as he tried to run around the suddenly distracted team plasma member.

Alice raised her Pokeball, aiming at Chi and attempting to draw the Pokemon back into the capsule, "Thank you," she murmured, before running after Cynis as fast as possible.

"No talking. Running!" Cynis replied shortly, pounding across the pavement and towards the trees which bordered the town.
Its claw closing with a clack on suddenly empty air, the Scizor turned to pursue, only to be distracted by Samuel's plight.
"Sci! Scizor!" the pokemon cried, lunging at Stuka. Recognizing its inferiority in such a contest, the Murkrow flapped away with a cry and headed towards the roofs.
Letting the bird go in favour of the plasma trainer, the Scizor fretted about the man. Samuel smiled affectionately at the pokemon as he brushed away its worry. "It's alright. No more than a scratch," he assured the worried steel type. Turning to look in the direction both had fled, Samuel let his lips fall into a small frown. "Cut them off."
"Scizor!" Wings buzzing with speed, the Scizor took off after the two trainers fleeing towards the forest.

Alice stashed Chi's Pokeball and lowered her head, following Cynis' feet instead of his back. She couldn't feel her leg anymore, and moving it correctly was futile, meaning that she stumbled after the gangly boy in an awkward, clumsy manner. As they left Nacrene behind and headed towards the shrouded trees of Pinwheel Forest, she swallowed tightly.
Hopefully they'd lose him there.

Cynis did not risk speaking, nor looking back when the buzz of the Scizor's wings rose in volume. The treeline looming up between the walls of the alley. Sprinting across the gap between building and woods, Cynis dove into the forest, flinching at the snap of claws that sounded inches from his head as the Scizor became fouled in the thick branches.

Alice dived beneath the thicket that had captured the bug Pokemon, not unlike the web of an Ariados, and scrambled after Cynis into Pinwheel Forest. When they had put a decent distance between themselves and the treeline, Alice pulled her arm away from Cynis and fell down against a tree, cradling her numb, injured leg.

The hornet's nest had been stirred, that was a certainty. The commotion from the event outside the museum had stirred some of the staff to investigate, and many of the warehouses nearby the building had been vacated to fuel the crowds of bystanders.
Beside the museum, a well kept alley housed a simple wooden bench, occupied by a young lady busy looking at the shots on the digital camera hung around her neck. Since the altercation had begun she had stashed her visible insignia, quite grateful she had chosen not to don uniform for the day's events. Samuel's efforts were genuine, but they were going to cause quite a stir.
Thankfully, they might be easier to cover up, with less witnesses present to the attack on the girl. Her finger slid through the camera's images, altered enough to easily help pin blame on the other party for initiating the event.
Nadia Oscura capped the device and stood up. Her short, pale ginger hair bobbed above her shoulders with the brief movement. She was slender, though not exactly tall, with porcelain skin and a light dusting of freckles across the bridge of her nose. The photographer wore a white blouse, with a buttoned blue vest and a black tie, over top a plaid, pleated skirt with the same scheme. Her white stockings came up just below the knees and her feet were stuffed into simple black shoes.
"Come on out, we need to finish our job, and I don't need you messing with these photos," she said, seemingly to her camera.
There was a brief moment of pause, before a couple of pale blue sparks came from the device, and suddenly a flood of aqua, electric energy zipped out of the camera and formed in the air in front of Nadia. Hovering before her was a red, ephemeral form, encased in a constantly shifting presence of electricity. The Rotom grinned broadly, it's giggling having the undertone of a television's static.
"Stay out of sight, I'll be back in a bit," Nadia continued, making her way around the museum's side to the entrance to slip inside.

Hawk screeched, shaking his head as the sand brushed into his eyes. Roaring in rage, the ancient pokemon threw itself forward; wings enveloped with energy as it took off and sped at the other flyer.

Dodging around trees, Cynis suddenly hurled himself at Alice, taking both of them into a mess of bushes. He clapped a hand against her mouth. "Shhh!" he hissed as he hunkered down amongst the grass.
With a cry the other flying pokemon took to the sky, flapping heavily and quickly gaining altitude in order to avoid the other pokemon. Several whistles sounded from various parts of the city, uniformed officers finally beginning to arrive on the scene.

Amber struggled to get up, turning her attention to Hawk as he curved upwards; ascending with a flap of his massive wings as he took after the bird pokemon. Roaring, he snapped at it with his jaws; hoping to bring it down.

Alice clamped her eyes shut, a muffled exclamation of pain barely heard through his hand. After that, she went silent and still, though trembled.

The Rotom's laughter stopped with a sudden
zap
, as the Pokemon disappeared from sight in a shower of sparks.
Nadia slipped into the entrance of the museum, calmly making her way past the empty front desks (as the receptionists were all busy gawking at the scene outside.) She uncapped her camera and turned it on, beginning to take the occasional photo of the exhibits she passed by, including the enormous Dragonite skeleton.
The photographer made her way deeper into the museum, through the side hallways and away from the gym. Her steps echoed against the tile floor, the only sound in an otherwise silent building.
At the end of the hallway, there was a small room dedicated to small glass boxes containing miscellaneous relics that didn't warrant their own exhibit by themselves. While most were simple trinkets, tokens and glyphs from ancient civilizations, there was a case at the back with something of far more interest.
Nadia raised her camera and snapped the photo of the smooth, round stone.
She turned on her Xtranceiver, nestled on her wrist, and smiled.
"It's here."

The Braviary spread its wings, flapping them in order to remain largely in place as it met the aerodactyl's jaws. A it did so, it was given an encompassing look at the town, and the movements of uniformed individuals. The bird pokemon let loose an ear splitting screech at that.
Samuel paused on the border between the town and winds. Angling his head back towards Nacrene, his lips dipped ever so slightly at the sound of the Braviary's cry. He sighed. "Time....time...it is never on our side..." Putting two fingers to his lips, he let out a piercing whistle.
Pressing his face deep into the grass, Cynis held his breath at the sound of something moving about the forest. No steady footsteps here. Rather, the thin buzz of insect wings, a sound like a surgical saw preparing to break through the bones to find the unguarded insides. Clenching his teeth to ensure he did not betray himself, he tightened his grip against Alice's mouth as well.
He could hear his heartbeat as the buzzing wings grew louder. A lump formed in his throat when the sound paused on the other side of the bushes. Closing his eyes tightly, Cynis did the last thing he could. He prayed.
A sharp whistle split the heavy air. At first Cynis did not believe it, but assuredly the buzz of wings began to grow fainter, the Scizor moving away.

Alice waited, and waited, and waited. It was agonizing, like ever second took dozens more until the minutes felt like hours. But eventually, eventually she couldn't hear the Scizor's buzzing wings hanging over them like a guillotine. Only when it was completely silent, and the regular denizens of the forest began to quietly sing again, did Alice breathe.
She couldn't stop herself from shaking though.

"I won't have time, or the ability, to grab it. There's too many people outside to do this operation alone," Nadia explained, voice barely audible as she spoke into the Xtransceiver. She took a number of different photos of the uninteresting looking stone at the same time. "We'll have to proceed with the regular plan."
The photographer lowered her wrist, the light on the communication device flickering off. She stared at the stone for a long while, before turning on her heels and striding out of the room. The silence was soon filled by far off sounds of Pokemon cries, shouting, and sirens, until she found herself in the throe of things outside the museum once more.

"Thats becouse it is waiting for you to move first, or for us to turn our backs to it and leave us easy prey." Viron explained with his finger in the air as if making some sort of point.
