Guild Rep - Dailies or Leveling?
Return to board index
As the title says, I'm just wondering what the best way to quickly generate guild rep is. I'm doing this on my 86 warrior, and I'm torn between doing the TB dailies or leveling, and I'm not sure which would be faster. Or are they both pretty much the same?
Edit: Put "XP" when what I actually meant to ask about was guild rep. So sorry about that! Answers all still fit though, so thank you!
Level. Go and level in Pandaria. You'll earn plenty of guild XP that way, and you'll end up hitting 90 faster, which opens up tons more dailies to help you collect guild XP once you're at level cap.
All quests give the same amount of guild xp IIRC, so do whichever are faster (and if the dailies are faster, keep leveling after you finish them).
Yup, just do the quests; dailies reward the same amount as regular quests.
If ya bored of farming level 90 daily's (once you get to this level), then you have loads of options for quick guild rep.
These daily's don't take much time at all, i prefer these to MoP daily's.
Sons of Hodir - Stormpeaks - Required level 80
Argent Tournament - Icecrown - Required level 80
Oracles / Frenzyheart - Sholazar Basin - Required level 80
Firelands - Mount Hyjal - Required level 85
Tol Barad Peninsula - Required level 85
"Meh.. i get bored of these daily's, well sometimes, but loads better then Mop daily grinds"
.. still after
, thankfully the Quarter Master has this pet. Rather then it just being a mob drop item. Changed in one of the patches.
These factions all give some rather nice pets, mounts. Well worth looking into. I would add more, but these are the ones i prefer.
The level 80 daily quests will not give guild rep for level 90 players. Level 85 daily quests, still give guild rep for level 90 players.
Hey Twizel, are you sure the level 80 ones still give guild Rep for a level 90?
Level 1 quests give a regular amount of guild rep for a level 90; all of the guild rep/exp is normalized at this point.
Just checked. Also update my post with this information
"The level 80 daily quests will not give guild rep for level 90 players. Level 85 daily quests, still give guild rep for level 90 players."
All quests which would have granted experience (if not capped) grant guild xp. If you set your Interface option so that quests difficulty is colored, any quests that appear as green (or yellow or red for that matter) on your quest list will grant guild xp and any quests colored grey will not.
This applies regardless of your character level, so that if you are doing level 1 quests on a level 40 character you will not gain guild xp for that quest.
That's what I thought, you two. Thanks for confirming.
You're welcome. I also wish to add that quests will generally be green to you (and thus grant guild xp) within 5 character levels.
Guild xp is remarkably easy to get these days.
I went from zero-to-exalted in a single day when I resubbed and started questing from 85-90.
28 85s and working on my 29th.
6 90s and working on my 7th.
Have you considered stepping outside and seeing the sun once in a while? ;-)
LOL. I've been through this before. I've played since late 2008. That's just over 4 years. That number of toons leveled in 4 years is not a ludicrous amount. Some others play 1 or 2 to death and Raid with them constantly. I level mine. It's what I enjoy about this game.
In fact, I've started an entirely new project over on The Venture Co. with about 7 new toons.
I see the sun quite often, thank you :)
BTW: BlueRobe - You're talking about Guild Rep, not Guild XP.
Guild XP is pretty easy to get nowadays too (at least compared to before). I remember when the change shipped during MoP prepatch my guild abruptly hit level 25 within a week.
You're talking about Guild Rep, not Guild XP.
Oh wow, I didn't realize I did that, sorry for the confusion.
I actually MEANT for this post to be about earning guild rep.
I'll edit my OP.
To clarify since we were talking at cross purposes, any quest for which you gain guild xp will also grant you guild rep. So any quest which would have granted you experience (is green or better - not grey in your quest log) will grant you both guild xp and guild rep. And yeah, as others have said it's stupid fast these days.
