I've
never
been indecisive.
Or wait... have I? No, definitely... well, that one time...
;)
If you want to heal and play Alliance, here are your major options:
Druid
Races: Night Elf
Pros: Okay single-target heals, Okay AoE heals, Excellent HoTs, only battle rez in the game, early travel ability, good mana regen
Cons: Tree form is slow moving, not always easy to solo, limited to one race
Paladin
Races: Draenei, Dwarf, Human
Pros: Excellent single-target heals, Good AoE heals (requires Talent spell and glyph), no HoTs, Plate makes you surviveable, class mount, huge mana efficiency
Cons: Very gear-dependent, raid healing requires a lot of concentration
Priest
Races: Draenei, Dwarf, Human, Night Elf
Pros: Great single-target heals, Good AoE heals, Good HoTs, can use wands, good mana regen
Cons: Not the easiest class to level solo, Cloth makes you squishy
Shaman
Races: Draenei
Pros: Okay single-target heals, Good multi-target heals (but no real AoE heal), Okay HoTs (only through totems or Shield spells), good mana regen, Mail makes you less squishy, early travel ability
Cons: Not always easy to solo, high spell aggro, limited to one race

^ well done xaratherus
And as far as getting a guild, its better to look in-game for a guild dedicated to leveling. After you do level or find a point to move on toward end game, then find a guild that will supply that. it is rare that a guild involved with end-game will invite a player under 80, and even if you find one they tend to be less helpful. Not because they are jerks, but because the focus of the guild is not on leveling.
