Okay so, I'm an amazing healer.
I've never used any mod to help me heal, none of this "Grid" "Clique" "Healbot" crap.
What are the advantages? I don't even know how using those mods would improve performance, anyone care to comment how they help?

With grid and clique I always top the healing charts in raids, I'm always the highest (by a long shot) on dispelling, I'm always reacting faster than any other healer I've seen with my alts.
If your good healer, thats awesome..be prepared to become the best!
I also like how grid minimises the screen space taken up by the unitframes of people in party and raid.

I'm kind of curious how you heal? Healing is more of an art form than an actual science. Topping the heal charts doesn't make you a good healer it just makes you a fast healer. Keeping your raid alive to kill the boss after you've lost 1 or 3 healers makes you a good healer. Keeping the party alive during the oshi situations makes you a good healer. If your healing fine with standard frames and macros then keep at it. However if you find yourself overwhelmed with healing multiple targets in rapid succession, you might want to check into these addons.
Raid frames like Grid give you an overview of the party/raid situation. You can customize the information to be displayed so that only the relevant information is displayed making who you heal and how that much easier and that much faster. Grid is probably the most compact raid frame that is out there so there is less movement of the mouse when selecting one individual to the next. When ms count having to move the mouse 1in versus 1/8in could mean someone lives or dies.
Clique is an addon that, in effect, produces mouse over marcos (these are not stored in your macro tab, it's part of the addon) in a very user friendly way. You can setup, macros and keybinds to do the same thing. Clique takes it one step further by allowing the attachment of those macros to mouse clicks making it so that all you have to do is click a mouse button or a mouse button and a conditional key like shift to get a spell. Right click Great heal, Shift + Right Click Renew, etc... This was great feature when down ranking was viable because you could assign down ranks to the conditionals and give you almost endless possibilities. I'm pretty sure this can be done in game with the standard macro UI but this is beyond 98% of the players capabilities.
So when you combine a macro generator like Clique with a compact raid frame like Grid you create a healing package that enables many healers to reach there full potential.

What unit frames for Self / Target (&ToT) / 5man Party do you use then?
I still use nothing.

IIRC there are options in the standard bliz frame to turn on Target of Target.
Self comes on by default and I don't think you can turn it off, same for party. Raid you just go to the raid tab and pull the groups out onto the screen.
