yeah it's a a preference so you'll have to try some things and see what you like. Generally you will want some sort of raidframes.
TotemTimers
is good for any shaman and
Decursive
is a handy one.
As for where more personal preferences come in I run
X-Perl
and
Clique
. Healbot and Grid are popular, sorry only keep the links for the ones I use handy.

I have since replaced pitbull and grid with my own customised layout of oUF.
pretty much replaces all of grid and omen.
