Help Choosing a Ranged Class
Return to board index
You guys have probably seen many of these posts before. I am trying to decide on what to make my main ranged dps toon. Back in Cata my shadow priest was my first but I'm not sure if I want to play this class for MoP. I was wondering if you have any advice on what are some great ranged classes you would recommend to main with or challenge me to play a specific ranged class. Thanks :D
Play an elemental shaman,
1) Walk into Raid
2) Raid ridicules your spec
3) Accept their trash talk an stay quiet while they boast about dps
4) Take it easy on trash
5) Completely destroy them on charts during boss fight
8) Take heed in your BAMFNESS
Lol this was no help at all.
Hunter = more fun than anything else, IMO.

I've tried hunter. Didn't like it.
Haven't tried mage.
Shammy is too low level to matter.
But I do like my lock. He's fun.
I really want to level my lock, too, actually. They got a lot of love this expac, and I really like the new pet models.
I'd personally go for either Hunter or Warlock at the moment.
Well, I love my Elemental Shammy.
Searing Totem, Flame Shock, Lava Burst, LB, LB ....etc.
Chain Lightning is lots of fun glyphed on trash also.
I love both my Hunter and Elemental Shaman. Though i must admit, i haven't really played the Shammy in MoP yet.
Elemental Shaman does have the added bonus that it pretty much shares its gear with the healing spec. If healing's your thing. Sure you want specific gear sets for raids 'n stuff. But for HC's, it's usually fine.
warlock is great fun, especially demo/
I must say I do enjoy hunter a great deal and shaman to me is a fantastic class. Would it matter to choose a ranged class based on cloth or mail?
I like the hunter as well. I can move and shoot at the same time. Mage has to remain still to cast. Questing is super easy on my hunter too and with my spirit beast, I can heal him and he can heal me. Feign death, Camoflague, Heroism & walking on water (with the right BM pet). If my hunter could make mage tables he would be damn near perfect :)
I'd probably go with Hunter. You get a few nice things off the bat, you can move around and do whatever you want, and you get a nice pet to top it all off.
