This is a very, very, rough and sketchy idea from a roleplay I once did. I really, really, really liked the idea, so I wanted to see if it could work. I don't have all the details, so this might get edited a lot.
This might bend lore a bit! Please help me by correcting mistakes, if you can :)
---
Talent Trees:
Warding –
The Warding tree allows Rune-Seekers to focus on self preservation, absorption, and big heals to save lives if they aren’t protected. Warding Seekers focus on using their Warding and Remedy runes, along with some charges of Annihilation.
Remedy –
The Remedy tree is a straight-forward healing tree that specializes in quick heals and healing over time spells. Remedy Seekers use mainly Warding and Remedy runes.
Annihilation –
The Annihilation tree is the Rune-Seekers way of dealing large amounts of damage to the target, different talents allow the Seeker to focus on damage over time or burst damage. Annihilation Seekers use their Warding and Annihilation runes the most.
---
Spells:
Aging Life –
(Instant)
As a Rune-Seeker, you automatically gain this ability. It allows you to change between your adult and child form at will when out of combat. In combat you will always be an adult so that your abilities will be more potent.
Telepath -
(Ten Second Channel)
Used much like 'Death Gate' does for Death Knights. While you are channeling the telepath, it will create a small corridor that leads to the Runeway.
More specific spells for the different talent trees will be done later.
---
Races:
Horde –
Troll
Blood Elf
Orc
Alliance –
Night Elf
Human
Draenei
---
Skills:
Weapons -
One-Handed Maces
One-Handed Swords
Daggers
Fist Weapons
Shields
Rune-Seekers are unable to use staves or other two-handed weapons, as they are a pain to lug around when you're in the form of a child.
Armor -
Cloth
Annihilation Seekers may learn how to fight under the strain of mail armor in their talent tree.
---
Resource:
Runes and Rune Dust –
Rune-Seekers use a unique resource source. Below their portrait sits three circles with rune inscriptions, much like death knights, and an empty bar (0/50) of Rune Dust. These runes are labeled as: Warding, Remedy, and Annihilation, just like the talent trees.
Different Seeker abilities use different Rune ‘charges’. Each rune as five charges, and when the charges are spent, the rune dies and take fifteen seconds to recharge. Also, after a rune dies, it produces ten Rune Dust. Abilities that use Rune Dust cost twenty-five of the resource each—however, Rune Dust abilities are only used when you have absolutely no rune charges for your tree left.

Lore:
When the Titans first shaped Azeroth and set sentient beings upon it, they had another plan set in place to guard the new-found world. Runes were empowered into mortal beings, giving them new powers, and wisdom well beyond their current knowledge. The mortals entrusted with these runes became a new race, the Rune-Seekers.
The Seekers dwelled within Nozdormu’s Caverns of Time after the Titans gave charge to the Dragonflights. There they waited and built their civilization. As more mortal races came into being on Azeroth, the larger the Rune-Seekers grew.
The first Rune-Seeker, their esteemed Silver Maiden, Nisoa No’alan, led their race in peace and prosperity. It was she that learned that the Rune-Seekers better conserved power when they inhabited the bodies of children. So the Seekers learned to switch between children and adult forms, depending on combat and when it was needed.
Nisoa built a council, which she called the Order of Psi. She became the Silver Psi, and four others were appointed. A White Psi, a Black Psi, and two Grey Psis were part of Nisoa’s council, and they kept track of the Seekers.
As they lived in the timeways, they often helped Nozdormu and his brood keep track of them. The Seekers focused on sealing the time voids that would often occur when something out of place happened. To their dismay, the Seekers once stumbled upon a time void so great that they could not seal it, and eventually it went out of control.
This void took the form of a female directly polar to Nisoa, and so the Rune-Seekers named is Siona.
The Seekers hunted Siona down throughout the time passages, attempting to subdue the void, unfortunately, the more time the void spent in other voids, the more powerful it... or she... grew.
Siona turned from the prey into the predator in no time at all. She slaughtered nearly half of the Rune-Seekers within her eternal abyss--- including the White Psi. The two Grey Psis went missing, and Nisoa was banished by Siona for 8,888 years.
The Seekers that remained went into hiding. In their own section of the Caverns of Time that was cut off from reality, they did not want to show themselves to the real world, and so they wouldn’t. That is, until Nisoa’s banishment ended.
Now the Seekers were lost, their leader had returned, but the void creature that was their demise was still out there. So the Seekers plotted, and they realized that the mortal bodies they inhabited belonged to different factions now. Their race would divide, to seek help from these ‘factions’ so that they may continue their peaceful existence and Siona may be destroyed.
This is subject to change and updates.
---
But wait? What's my role in all of this!:
You are one of the surviving Seekers from Siona's massacre, that has recently come out of hiding. When you heard the plan to divide and seek help from the mortals of Azeroth, you quickly (or maybe reluctantly) agreed to help your race. Of course, one just can't go pleading for help from the greatest of Azeroth's leaders without training first...

Talent Lore:
Warding -
The Rune-Seekers have always been about preservation. From the beginning, they were there to make sure the Titans could preserve the work they had done on Azeroth. It should come as no surprise that the Seekers will do anything to keep their allies alive, and one of these ways is using their runes to create shields and barriers to protect.
Remedy -
Another way of Seeker preservation comes in the way of direct healing spells. The Remedy Seekers bend their inner runes into a form of raw healing energy that they use to rejuvenate their friends and companions with. These spells are often two fold, fixing immediate damage with a large burst of power, and then allowing the rest of the wound to heal over time.
Annihilation -
After Siona used the void to slaughter the Rune-Seekers, the one's that remained lived in fear of the black abyss. A sect of Rune-Seekers worked on studying what had killed their people in depth, but they did so silently. Eventually they learned how to bend the void to their will, realizing that they could 'fight fire with fire'. Their discovery spread across the Seekers, and now many use the void to slay their foes.
---
The Psi Council:
Nisoa No'alan -
<Silver Psi, Leader of the Rune-Seekers, The Silver Maiden>
Nisoa takes the form of a human female.
Etarion -
<White Psi, Martyr's Soul, Deceased>
Etarion took the form of a male high elf, due to the fact there were no blood elves at the time of his death.
Shei'ika -
<Black Psi, The Beast's Cunning, Avatar of War>
Shei'ika takes the form of a female orc.
Viari -
<Light Grey Psi, Patient Guidance, Wisdom's Wind>
Viari takes the form of a female draenei.
Zeake'ran -
<Dark Grey Psi, Eternal Watcher, The Tracker's Light>
Zeake'ran takes the form of a troll male.

Starting Area:
You, as a Rune-Seeker, begin in the section of the Caverns of Time that your people cut off from the real world. This section has been renamed the 'Runeway', and is composed of a large circular area with different timeways branching off of it.
The Runeway would look much like the Caverns of Time in terms of design and texture.
It also uses phasing to enhance the storyline of the quests.
A Map For Your Convenience
Within the center area is the Seeker capital, El'deare, which is where you will begin. The city houses the castle-spire of the Psi's council chamber, a large wall guarding it from the void creatures that infested some of the timeways, and multiple other areas for vendors and trainers.
The rift is a time anomaly created to disturb the Runeway and collapse the Seeker's home by collapsing the timeways.
The Way of Memories is an area that was part of Siona's massacre. The White Psi's corpse is located there, and the presence of the fallen Rune-Seeker caused the timeway to become scarred. Now it only replays the carnage that took place there in the past...
Located to the east of El'deare is a timeway that opens up into the Abyssal Front. This area is where Siona is now staging a second attack upon the Rune-Seekers in hopes to finish was she started. The void creature summons more minions by using the void portals.

More updates! Some information on the starting area, including a badly drawn map (I'm sorry, I was lazy) and the members of the Psi council. :D
