Hi all! Looking for later/end game help

Hi all, wonder if you could help with something thats been bothering me. I've never really managed to level much beyond 30+ due to being unable to stick with one toon. I know thats what alts are for, however I dont really like using alts.

I'm currently levelling both a shaman and a pally. The shaman is enhc specced for the time being, and the pally (low level) is prot spec.

What I want to know from you guys is : which is more likely to be needed at end game/ raids, as I've not got any raid experience.

I'm willing to take my shaman resto spec, and keep the paladin prot spec for tanking.

Which is going to be more needed at endgame?
Which will likely get me raiding without terrible PUGs?

I think the real trick is finding and sticking with a good guild that intends to raid/is raiding.

You're on the right track already, with toons that are in high demand in general (healer/tank). In the end, I think it really comes down to getting into a good group and working with them. Between the two, I think that the healer may be in slightly more demand, but who knows. It all depends on the group you end up finding. They may be in need of a tank more than a healer or vice-versa.
