Go to your trainer, and click the training.
You need to be level 5 to be able to train.
You cannot have more than two primary professions, so if you already have learned 2, unlearn one or make a new toon (level 5 is pretty easy).

You didn't comment on this part. Do you already have two professions on that character? Seems like the most probable explanation.
