How do i retrive my corpse when killed in an underwater cave?

Aim downward and move forward. You should drop into the water.

Unlike when your alive, pressing down won't get you underwater. You have to aim down with your mouse (hold both the left and right click buttons), and then move it downwards, and you'll go underwater.
