How do you get a avatar on on wowhead

It's not actually the name of the item. You have to go to the item's Wowhead page (in my case
Hearthstone
) and double click on the item's icon. When you do, a dialog box will appear that says (in this case) "INV_Misc_Rune_01". This is the name of the icon. You copy THAT information into the profile page to get your avatar. :)

The only exclusion would be if the icon you chose is in use by a wowhead staff. Then it will give you an error message.
