How Our Daily Grind killed WoW for me. :-(

I'm taking a break from the game, after nearly three years. I'll probably be back when the next expansion hits, but I'm not sure I'll bother to renew my two accounts until then.
Whenever "then" is, I might add; by this time last year we knew the new talent trees for TBC, we'd had reports from the beta for months and we also knew the new 62+ trainable skills I believe. So far all we've got of WoLK is screen shots. Not even a preliminary date for start of a beta test.
...Which means the new expansion may well be at least another half a year or so off, and I just can't stand more grinding for materials and reputation with all the - as it feels - dozens of outland factions to progress in my tradeskills and gear up my characters.
I've been wanting to have the thrallmar reputation bow for a long time now, but the only way for me to gain thrall rep is to grind steamvaults, and I can't find a friggin group that wants to go there! It's like with those accursed timbermaw; I've probably killed 10.000 of those blasted deadwood bolgs and they still don't think I'm exalted. :/
I'm also "stuck" at 365 leatherworking, and while I could be making certain blues to try and gain the last 10 points, these patterns require such stupid materials I just can't bother to begin farming the hundreds of elementals I'd need to kill for the primals. Of course, I could raid the AH and buy them, but that means forgetting about getting a fast flying mount anytime this century. I got 2k gold, I'm holding on to that now. :P
It's just too much WORK to progress in TBC. To make items with tailoring for skills above 340, you need 6 netherweave cloth per bolt, and it's several bolts per imbued bolt, and 6-10 imbued bolts to make the garment. On top of whatever else might be needed of course, primals being the biggest headache. HOW thick exactly is this robe really, with that much cloth put into it, surely it must more resemble a sumowrestler fatsuit than a robe? How could anyone even move wearing it? :P And if anyone thinks this is ridiculous, look at the hardened adamantite tube and how much metal it contains. Insanity!
Blizzard releases new dungeons, but the only way to ever see them is to start at the beginning, run normal dungeons dozens of times to get gear for heroics, then run heroics dozens of times. Then run karazhan, magtheridon, gruul, serpent shrine cavern, tempest keep; all dozens of times before hyjal and black temple, and later on, sunwell plateau. And I just can't be arsed doing it that way.
It's not that I mind spending time in the game. I've spent far too much already playing 6 toons to 60+ and 3 of those at/near 70, plus a host of lower level alts. What I do mind is the time I spend feeling like WORK; I don't want to WORK in a computer game. Particulary one I PAY to play. If I have to work, Blizzard should give me a salary! :P Tradeskill levels should come NATURALLY as I play the game and level up. So far every single one of my characters hit around 330-340 in tradeskills when reaching 70 (or near it) and after that it requires tons of mindnumbing grind to gather the mats to gain the rest - the hardest part. Rep should also come naturally with questing and leveling, that I have to kill the same dungeon bosses over and over is just nuts. If I killed the bosses this faction hates, then THAT SHOULD BE ENOUGH. If they don't want people getting a ton of epix too easy then make the gold prices higher!
So there's just far too much WORK in WoW right now. It's not fun anymore. I hated the rep s### from the start. In old WoW it didn't really matter much as there wasn't much you could DO with it, but then after they introduced the new Silithus and the cenarion faction and later the new light's hope chapel and argent dawn stuff in eastern plaguelands it all went south from there. TBC was just a giant turn for the worse. HOW many factions are there now in outland after ogrila and shatari skyguard? It wouldn't surprise me if they'll make another just for the sunwell plateau instance too.
And don't even get me started on aldor and scryers, and the fact blizzard in its insane insanity put different recipes for tradeskills on either faction, with no really clear distinction between choices for certain classes/talent specs...
And what's up with shadow and fire belonging to separate branches of tailoring? Way to go screwing over warlocks there... Thanks for making me painfully level tailoring and enchanting to 300 on my undead hag before revealing that. :(
So... So long and thanks for the fish. Was fun while it lasted. Or actually, not so fun really for the last 6 months or so.
PS: check wiseass remarks about people posting about leaving the game or similar at the door, kkthx. If you want to reply, make sure your post is constructive and not lame.

Instances aren't as bad as you think. Depending on luck, you could get 5 epics in one run. That's 5 less epics to worry about.
Huh?

do what i do when i know a expantion is near by
level your alts so you wont have to level them after the expantions when if you were focusing on one charecter, you'll just replace the epic gear you worked hard for with northrend bluez

honestly, from the sounds of this rant... you sound like your playing alone... like you make no effort to make friends or let your friends in on it and play with them
i mean yes, grinding all those toons to 60 and 60+ is quite a lot of work, but didnt you have plans for them in the first place? i mean why make a toon unless you have plans for it. Also, the whole thing about professions... if it were made as easy as you wanted, all the lil tailors, blacksmiths, leatherworkers, etc... would be outfitted in epics and we'd have a whole bunch of people who dont know what their doing in instenses and why did we let them in? because they were epic'd out and we thought they had experience... honestly i felt accomplished when i accually made my alchemist's stone and my lunar crecent, and i will feel it even more once i reach 375 and make the other two evolutions
but seriously, do you really have people you play with? cause this game is terribly boring as you say only when i play alone... cause then it is as you said, a big load of WORK on a grind. but with friends you could just mess around all kinds while still achieving things... but other than that you've not convinced me...
