Be careful about buying things at below average at the AH, and then trying to sell them at a higher value. What if someone comes along and offers stuff at a slightly lower price? You might end up with expired auctions and not get your money back. Anyway, I find that selling all the ore I collect in Mining is bringing in tons of gold for me. Now I can mine Mithril, Gold, Truesilver, it all goes for a fair amount.

Buy cheap Bronze Bars, and Coarse Stones from the AH, some Nightcrawlers from the fishing supplies, and make some Aquadynamic Fish Attractors.

Don't overload the market. I usually stuff about 10 full stacks in there every two days for about 10g each and I can usually rely on that to help me out of bankruptcy whenever it came to that.

Try farming items, Eternal Fire on my server sells for 40g each it's a great money maker, just farm them at Wintergrasp

i think the easiest way to get money is by soloing low lvl dungeons and selling the items and keeping the gold but for a low level player it is far more profitable to chose 2 of the 3 gathering skill : Minning,Skinning & Herbalism i suggest skinning and herbalism because while you are leveling you can skin the monsters you kill + you get crit rating and herbalism because you get a 5 second heal and http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=55428#see-also-recipe gives you 1 point in herbalism everytime you use it that means every 3 minutes
