How to test raid dps

Reading up about naxx i hear alot about how you need each of your dps for naxx 10 to be putting out about 1800 dps on avg.
So how do you test your dps. In heroics i can range 1300-2500 dps on single target fights. Is there a good heroic boss like patchwork that can be used to judge dps?
Maybe use Ormorok the Tree-Shaper in heroic nexus as a kinda of raid target dummy?
