hey all, i wanna know if something can be done, and i hav no exp with macros so thought id come here,
ive currently got ` bound to make my pet attack, i was wondering if i could also get it to simultaneously cast "hunter's mark".. is this possible if so what would the macro be?
thnx
so the 1 i im still using is,
#showtooltip
/cast Hunter's Mark
/petattack
thnx 2 gameldar for that.
now id like to add another part 2 it, something like /cast mendpet if hp is lower than 40%?
can be done?
wouldnt be very mana efficient tho, just thought it mite work well? any thoughts?

ok thnx heaps, thought it would be something simple.
if i use hunter's mark on it owns it wont send the pet in tho will it, dnt wanna to accidentally pull aggro in instances etc,

It will send your pet in to attack all the time, so if you want to only cast Hunter's Mark when you want to, you could try something like this:
#showtooltip
/petattack
/cast Hunter's Mark
/focus
/cleartarget
What is does:
On first click, casts Hunter's Mark, set's your target as your focus and clears your target
On second click, sends your pet after your focus (the mob with Hunter's Mark on), without casting Hunter's Mark twice
Perfect for instances, albeit not as efficient in solo play.

If you need to find a hard-to-target mob, you can extend this macro like so:
/tar <name of mob you want to find>
/cast Hunter's mark
/petattack
/setfocus
/cleartarget
First click will focus and mark the mob if it's in range, second will sic your pet. But it will also recast Hunter's mark if the named mob is in range, so it is a bit less mana-efficient in that instance.

/setfocus by the way does not appear to do anything. maybe you have the syntax wrong?

/setfocus doesn't do anything. /focus would be what you want. By default it will focus your target (or clear your focus if you have no target ).

Damn you're right... Might be an old one...
Hooray for retro... -.-

Ok..so the updated version would be:
/tar <name of mob you want to find>
/focus
/cast Hunter's mark
/petattack
/cleartarget
I believe that the conditional checks all use the condition that existed when the macro was called, not it's current status, so here's how I think it will work:
If you have a target, but the mob you're looking for is in range and is not your target, it will switch to the seek mob and cast hunter's mark on it and set it as your focus (if you had a previous focus, it will send your pet after that, I think)
If you have a target, and the mob you are looking for is NOT in range, it will hunter's mark & Focus it.
If you don't have a target, it will try to target the seek mob and cast hunters mark on it. It won't try to use /focus (so it will never clear your focus) and will try to send your pet after the focus mob, if you have one.
