The best weapon you can reliably get immediately on turning 80 is the Nessingwary gun made by engineers. It's on a par with the epic XBow from heroic UtK. And unlike the latter it's not something you have to get lucky to win. But it is expensive, especially if you can't get it at mate's rates.
The xbow seems to drop at a rediculous rate. And its in Utgarde Keep, the easiest heroic by far (not counting 10 minute Violet Hold).
The gun can cost you a fortune without friends and guildies helping out.
Also the xbow is roughly a 10 dps upgrade over the gun if going by the spreadsheets results. However, the gun has a socket which allows some flexibility, and if youre a dwarf you get the benefit of the racial.
really... those 2 are a toss up. Grab one and be happy till you get a 25 man drop.

i can agree there. Never dropped for me. But I didnt really bother. Ran it a total of 3 times. guildies bought my gun for the most part. But every time someone in guild goes to UK it drops lol
