368 is the hit cap for you. And yes, if you want to reach the hit cap before going in to farming naxx, you'll probably have to take some cloth/leather pieces, or you'll have to socket everything with +hit. I don't know what happened to blizz that they didn't make almost any mail piece with + hit on it

You should probably worry about getting your hit cap first, then you stack crit/haste or whatever you're going for.

Hit cap for Horde is 368, for Alliance it's 342. Capping hit makes all the difference in the world. Yes, Blizz made a huge mistake and put 0 hit on any mail gear. To be exact, they took away 9% of our talented hit, and gave us none on gear to make up for it. Anyways, capping isn't all too hard. The 3 pieces that made a huge difference for me were my T7 gloves, gemmed and enchanted with Hit, the cloth badge belt, gemmed for Hit, and the Hit rating trinket from Heroic Violet Hold.

Is it really that important to reach the hit cap before starting on Naxx? I've been sticking to mail (or the very odd blue leather to replace a quest green), and just been stacking +hit gems.

I'm around 109 hit (yes, I' know, well short of the cap), but only plan on running half a dozen more heroics before starting Naxx with my (fairly casual) guild.

So say my hit is around the 200 mark when we start Naxx, will my dps be suffering that badly that I'll struggle to pull my weight?
