It depends on what information you as a player need, how you process said information and how you as a player translate that into a decision. Anything that speeds up your acquisition, processing or reaction to information is helpful.
A compact raid frame replacement, like vuhdo, healbot or grid speeds acquisition and processing.
A click casting addon like Clique or those already built into vuhdo and healbot can speed up reaction time.
Mouse over macros can also improve reaction time.
An event monitor like Miks Scrolling Combat Text or Deadly Boss Mods can improve acquisition.
Proc wachers like EventAlert and Cooldown watchers like CoolLine can be helpful specifically for priests.
Castbars for Target/Focus/Etc like Quartz can be useful.
Again it really depends on the type of information you want to see and how you want it presented.
