Personally, I prefer lock dpsing, mage if you want to be more helpful to the group (what with summoning stones making a lock pretty much useless pre-end game raiding) or if you want to heal, priest.

As a contrast to the above poster, my priest (shadow) is my favourite caster dps character.
As impsy said, choose for yourself, nobody else can decide. It looks as though you've decided on a caster class, so from here its personal preference.
