If we were to use mana as a scale...

How would I know if I'm ready for raids such as 10 and 25 ony, and all the different ToCs?
I recently hit around 24k mana unbuffed today and tried my hand at 10 ToC. We down the first boss, wiped several times at the second and people left. I'm not saying it was entirely my fault, but I'm sure I played a part in it failing.
So basicly...how much mana should I be going for, for what raid?
I wouldn't look at mana specifically, but I would say you are very close to the ball park number.
You are ready for ToC 10, but I would make some simple upgrades. Get the pants from the Conquest vendor and gem with some epics. It looks like you have been planning on upgrading them soon.
You still have a lot of ilvl 200 gear, I would this collect some badges and upgrade some of them. I would also look at running Ulduar a little for some upgrades, maybe ony also.
You are good to do ToC 10, I this wouldn't like a person who can make some upgrades with very little effort healing me.
All things considered, did you know the fights? Did the tank know the fights? Was the tank geared? Most wipes are caused by either the tank or the healer, so unless you did something blatantly wrong, like forgot to beacon the tank, then you probably weren't the problem. Especially after seeing that you know how to gem and have the appropriate spec.
I am not saying dps are never responsible for a wipe, but usually a hunter not misdirecting on a tank isn't make or break in a raid.
If it was a guild run, next time make sure everyone is geared and know the fights. If it was a pug, then that is probably the reason you wiped. If you ever do a pug again, be sure to check everyone's spec and gear. Also be sure that everyone is familiar with the fights. Check the damage meter after every fight to be sure that there isn't someone in the group that is half afk, getting in on the fights when they are half over.

From my experience, most wipes are caused by DPSers that let themselves killed in an unhealable manner. Not that it would be an immediate wipe, but the fight just cant go on without enough people (not necessarily due to enrages).
Wipes on Jaxxarus (normal) are often caused by:
Not purging/dispelling/spellstealing the buff he gives himself.
Players letting the fire to burn not just themselves, but also the whole melee group on the boss.
Ignoring the healing absorbing debuff.
Not enough raid heals while there are adds, especialy the infernals (deadly combo with fel lightnings).
If you take care of these, you should be ok. Also, try to interupt the boss as much as possible, or at least cleanse the debuff he gives to the tank.
Considering you downed the beasts, your gear should be ok for the whole instance.
