If i were to choose the wrong quest item and i am twinking the toon and its the BiS for him would blizzard be able to replace it with the right item if i had the wrong one in my bags?

a nice GM, might probally do it. but in general i doubt they would for such a relatively unimportant quest reward

I think the rule is, you can exchange one wrongly chosen quest item per character or per year. However, if you're really twinking, there should be other options as well. If not, there's always reroll :)
