I'm wondering was it my fault?

I agree, this IS a lie. Druids can solo-tank Thorim (at least, on 10man) while no other tank class can even come close to doing that, because Druids don't use Defense rating, so lowering their Defense skill does nothing.
This doesn't really matter. The fact is you still need 2 tanks minimum just to engage Thorim, and most guilds run with 3 (25 man). So it doesn't matter if a druid can solo tank it because there will still be other tanks there. Plus it is a bad idea to let a druid try to solo tank it, especially for hard mode, because the stacking buff Thorim gets. If dps is slow, or you are doing it on hard mode on 25 man, his buff stacks up so high that his attack speed and damage get to the point that its almost required to swap tanks simply to pop different cooldowns to stay alive.
I certainly wouldn't call this the type of encounter that favors *insert tank here*.
KT is one of those fights where a 3rd healer is your safety net. Yes, you can do it with 2 healers, but if one healer gets frost blasted and isn't at full health, or as above where a tank has low health, it can get a bit tricky.
This is a common mistake a lot of guilds/people make. A lot of people die because they need heals, but arent assigned healers. Just because a ret pally or enhancement shaman isn't a "healer" doesn't mean he can't throw some heals. In fact a ret pally is great at keeping ice blocked people alive on KT because of the instant flash of light proc they have. They see ice block, they throw an instant flash of light, and boom that person lives. OR a ret pally puts hand of sacrifice on that target and absorbs some of the damage. Boom, the person lives without getting healed. There are far too many scenarios to list that have people living through an ice block without a
healing them, but 99% of the players in the game don't think of them because they are ignorant. Far too many people have the mentality that if they aren't a healer for the run, they can let their healing hotkeys collect dust. Many many wipes could have been prevented by people who wern't ignorant and could have thrown a life saving tank heal.
As for the origional poster, it doesn't look like its your fault. The group is full of complete retards and you should do yourself a favor and never ever run with them again unless you want to get dumbed down to their level of stupidity. Plus taking 3 healers is stupid because you hurt your dps. Taking 3 healers means the DPS has to pick up the slack becuase the 2 healers were failures. The more dps you have, the faster you kill it and you have a smaller chance to make mistakes.
yeah i honestly wouldnt worry about it mate, you seem to be doing fine atleast. Judging by your profile your priest is disco (?). I just did a naxx 10 run with my guildies on my alt priest (soon to become my main) who is also disc spec. We were mainly alts and we used 2 priest healers for the fight, me and a holy priest and we had no issues at all.
Personally i find that if a healer is blocked i just throw them a PW:S and use penance followed by FH, they get healed nice and fast and the tanks never die really since they are always shielded and topped up, as for that paladin healer......he was an idiot really, theres no excuse for a healer to be that close to the tank.
Best advice you can get at the minute is don't let it annoy you, theres always people planning on blaming others for their mistakes. Just move on, keep healing and if at all possible, avoid grouping with those players again because they really do seem like the type that you should avoid. And as Crysania said, guilds mean nothing. You can be carried in most content these days and the fact is alot of the "better" guilds do have members who don't have a clue and yet are still getting gear and are first choice raiders.
I wonder.....does GS or PS work on frost blasted players....might test it on the next guildy to poke fun at me :P
Edit: Just wanted to mention that i was undergeared for the instance (questing greens ftw! :D) and so were a couple of the guildies (alt runs ftw too!)
the only mistakes healers make if they dont heal. other than that you really havn't done anything wrong. for Saph you gotta stay outta the frost showers and stand behind the ice blocked people.
Kel'thuzad does freeze people and if the other healer doesn't act soon you and the person next to you will be killed. so you need to be 10 yards away from everyone. do /range check so you can see who's too close to you, i'd advise you to stand on the chair behind kel'thuzad and only jump off when you see the red swirling thing on the chair after it disappears get back on it. after that your pretty much good.
