2) What's better with the destruction spec build? Firelock or Shadowlock. I currently have a ton of crit(19.85%) with all my gear and even as Demo(for soloing purposes) I crit for a ton with my fire spells. I can only imagine what it would be like with the destruction spec.
Fel Intellect(+3% Intel) and Demonic Tactics (+5% Crit) would play a part in your Crit Chance. Although Devastation(+5% Destruction Crit) and Ruin(Crit Bonus Dmg +100%) would do more dmg IMO.
I've found that when spamming Burst Dmg(Incinerate/Shadowbolt) Incinerate does more damage, especially if effected with Immolate.
Average the damage from the two you get:
Incinerate(w/ immolate on target): 598.5 dmg / 2.5 s cast = 239.4 dps
Incinerate(w/o immolate): 479 dmg / 2.5 s cast = 191.6 dps
Shadowbolt: 572 dps / 3 s cast = 190.6 dps
These numbers are straight from the spellbook(at lvl 70) with no buffs or talents in them. Go firelock if possible. If you really want more damage. Get Demonic Sacrifice and Sac your Imp(+15% fire dmg).
