Imp Inner Fire
Return to board index
Does anyone know if Imp IF increases the length of time duration of IF, the number of charges on it, or just the armor?
A leveling Disc. Priest wants to know....
Just the armour.
Disappointing.... but thanks for the info.
So the reason I ask about this is because it seems that the Discipline branch is very geared towards melee damage. I'm wondering if IIF would really be worth the talent point/s.
Here's my build so far-
I know that I could gear more towards the dmg side of things with wand spec and such, but the whole reason for this priest for me is to do instances and group stuff. IIF would really only benefit solo questing, I feel, and would certainly not be worth 3 talent pts. I'm just debating whether it'd be worth one point for a 10% increase in the armor.
Simple answer... Imp IF sucks. Max out Imp PW:Shield instead.
The bonus from Imp IF only increases the armor bonus from IF not your total armor. I'll use level 30 as an example since your close to it and it's the next level where you will get the next rank of IF. Inner Fire Rank 3 increases your armor by 720. If you put all 3 points in Imp IF for the additional 30% your would have a total armor bonus of 936. At level 30, 720 Armor translates into 19.62% damage reduction while 936 equals 24.07% or only 4.45% more damage reduction. A mob normally hitting you for 50 HP will hit you for ~47-48 instead. 3 Talent points to save 2HP per hit.
Now let's take a look at Imp PW:Shield. Rank 4 will absorb 234 HP of base damage. Now factor in our 20% +Healing bonus so let's say you have +100 Healing. (234 + (100*.2)) = 254. Now the additional 15% from Imp PW:Shield talents bringing the total to 292.
As you can see 3 Talent points in Imp PW:Shield goes a lot farther than 3 points in Imp:IF.
