Commanding Presence affects
Commanding Shout
which you gain at level 68. Looking at Battle Shout & Commanding Shout w/ talents...they're very powerful. Commanding Shout is incredible for the HP boost while Battle Shout is great in general for Fury...check out
Bloodthirst
. The damage formula for BT is based heavily off of your Attack Power.
One of the main reasons Cleave is neglected is because, like Heroic Strike, it does not generate rage.
The actual talent Improved Cleave is a good talent, if you can work it into your build somewhere...I think it's more of an Arms talent, kinda like Improved Whirlwind...not entirely meant for the Fury tree.
Why's it there? =/ beats me.

Well some fury builds recommend maxing out improved Heroic strike...Well when your fury (atleast my playstyle) you should be fighting 2, even 3 mobs at the same time. When doing this, the last thing you need is to waste 12 rage doing damage to a SINGLE target when you have multiples. I transferred those points to imp cleave and it works. Sweeping strikes + Bloodthirst, whirlwind, imp cleave..Dont forget rampage too.
Dont take points out of commanding presence because every time you fight, you should have battle shout up - and i usually put up demoralizing shout when fighting 2-3 mobs. The extra AP from Battle shout and rampage is invaluable in the fury spec.
As the guy earlier in this post said, Bloodthirst is based off of AP...With Rampage and an improved battleshout, well. you do the math. :)
thats my two cents.

if you have a fast MH cleave would be better I think because the time to gain more rage will come faster. If you use a 2.6 or 2.7 speed weapon and cleave that is gonna be a long wait until you get to have rage. Plus in a fast wepon you still gain the X bonus damage from cleave.

I only use cleave in groups/dungeons to put threat on two targets instead of just one, keeping them off the weaker allies. Also, in life-and-death situations, cleave and sweeping strikes stack to an incredible effect. I've used cleave, sweeping strikes and retaliation all at once to literally tear through entire mobs solo.
