I did not know that getting smashed ingame does this. What a great thought out feature. I know inebriation has given me the 'liquid courage' irl, and now that can carry over!

You misunderstand. He's concerned because the Wowhead client doesn't seem to check when the player is drunk, and as such some mobs are showing up here on the website as lower level than they actually are. :)
Can you grab some links to npc's where you see this occurring, and email them to me at feedback@wowhead.com?

Yeah i've had an issue on this when i was lvling my druid, i was lvl 66 and totally smashed and saw a 67 lock i was going to kill. luckly he mounted his flying mount before i attacked so i found out it probably would've been a bad idea.

Yeah for a while I had a nice enhancement trinket in Northrend that boosted AP, but also left me about as drunk as a sailor. Mobs lost a good 3-4 levels, and almost got me into hot water on a few occasions.

You gotta be under 21... or whatever the age limit is were you're from. I.e. you are not a drinker in real life.
18 in norway and sweden
16 in denmark and frace for example
and someone else can buy you know :)
and the screen effect while being drunk ingame can be turned off in the video settings i recall
