I just got a new computer and want to download WoW to it
I succesfully downloaded BC but when i put the WotLK disc in it attempted to connect to the server
It cannot connect however and i have tried multiple times.
My internet is fine and i can connect to battle.net on the internet.
Also when it asks if i would like to allow it to make changes i select yes so i dont think it is a firewall issue.
Please get back to me soon as the people on battle.net have been ignoring my post
You should be able to download the whole game (including all content, even if you don't have certain expansions) from your battle.net page. It's also possible that the BC version you installed is actually the full game already.
Have you tried logging into the game itself and checked if you could play, and if so if you could access all content?
The easiest way to make sure you have the most up to date and correctly installed version of the game is to either use the most recent disc (Mists of Pandaria), or to
download the game digitally
. Any other version of the game that is installed from disc has to be optimized, which can actually take longer than if you just started out with a digital installation.
If anyone runs into errors with the disc install, just make sure you wipe every bit of the download out, and perform the digi-installation. Best way to make sure the game installs right :)
