So a few weeks ago, my step brother was visiting and he was having trouble with the internet upstairs (the wireless hub is in my room) so I graciously unplugged and replugged it in, rebooting it. Ever since that day, my internet has sucked ass. It'll work okay for maybe an hour or two, but for the most part, it'll take up to a minute for a webpage to load, I constantly have 500+ ms in WoW, and youtube videos just take forever!
I've tried rebooting the wireless again, I ran a hard line to the box, I turned off and on my firewall, I tried restarting my computer, I tried disconnecting and reconnecting to the network, tried disabling the wireless card and Ethernet port, I tried running diagnostics on my computer to see if anything was wrong, I checked drivers to see if they were up to date. And all the while my signal is full bars, excellent strength, and great speed (it says, pft)
I really have no idea what to do or what I did. Any ideas?
Thanks.

He either downloaded mass amounts of porn and viruses, or he tried to fix another problem you had and made it worse.

I didn't mean to mislead anyone, he was using his own computer across the hallway, he was just using the wireless signal from my room, and it wasn't working for him so I reset it, that's all. He didn't touch my computer.

A virus can easily go through your network. If he was using the same internet connection, you are in the same network, and therefore both have the virus if there is one.
As for the good computer scanners, McAfee and Norton are very good.
