I'm surprised no-one has mentioned that there is a species of boar in Westfall that can survive without a liver.
Not to mention the brainless basilisks, the blind murlocs, the scorpids that poison you despite not having poison sacs, the buzzards without wings, the wolves without tails, the list goes on.
Actually this is explainable. Imagine, you're asked to get like 10 eyes or whatever. When you fight mobs for those items the eyes could've been..eh...destroyed and whatnot. I mean, you can't go back to the guy saying "Hey man i got you like 10 squished eyes now gimme gold n stuff rite". So while you're fighting them mobs you're searching for eyes (or whatever body part) that looks good enough to give the guy that gave you the quest.
"Fire underwater", "frostbolts in MC" and so on are explainable too: Dudes. It's magic.

Ok Mr.Explanation, explain to me then how a warrior can be played for days, and never even touch any water! Or how a character in full plate can run at the same speed a naked one is running?

Merchants doesn't want tiers set.
BoP Items.
A boar with an epic axe.
How humans run >.<;
You jump off a cliff... you dont die and all your bones are good, you just have low hp. Eat and go.
Your lvl 70 fat dwarf character is running since when you created him/her. But he is still fat.
Your hunter character never kissed, brushed or smiled at his/her pet. But they are best friend.

You can't get naked in an "M" video game.
How you can "carry" fire.
Every class is a "hunter."
Gnomes aren't made of plastic, and they are able to move.

Yeah, and bosses like VanCleef have 5 heads, one for every group member.

Level 17-20 troggs conquered Gnomeregan and gnome's king ran away in fear. Gnomes are scared of lvl 20 troggs.

WoW is rated T.

Back to ironic things:
Getting items that don't make sense based on the anatomy of the creature (i.e. unable to loot important body parts...like brains.)
Level 70 Noobs who didn't buy their accounts off of E-bay.
Shartuul's Suicide ability being able to kill the Shivan Assassin somehow.

Being able to drink endlessly without death from alcohol poisoning.
Being able to eat/drink continously without ever getting full.
Guns not being able to oneshot everything, but a punch can.
Bow with infinite ammo.
Hunters can prepare traps abnormally fast.
Being able to walk through characters and NPCs, even if they're hostile.
Skinning a bear (will agro every other bear in 40 yds) gives the same amount of leather as a rabbit does.
Herbalism being harder than it is (why not just pull the plant out of the ground?).
Eating heals you.
Being able to run/swim/move in general endlessly.
"Drinking" healthstones and other objects that are obviously used in some other way (try to use a healthstone while it's on cooldown, it will say "You can't drink anymore").
Not ever having to sleep.
You're able to endure environments that obviously need special equipment (such as the Alterac Mountains or Trade Channel).

There are no bathrooms and your character can last for days or even a month without eating or drinking. Oh thats ok but the damn pet
needs
to eat every 30 god damn minutes!
Yes, needs to, because the thing will get weak on you and eventually run away.
Added: The fact that Taurons, Night Elfs, Trolls, Gnomes, Dwarfs, and Undeads do not have kids? Well I can understand Undeads but come on! I thought they spawned into exsistence until BC came out and I saw the babies at the day care place in Shatt. But still, where the hell are the other kids?!
Added: Alot of creatures who don't drop
needed
limbs and organs for quest. Like in westfall. I had to kill like 5 boars just to find one lung?! What? The rest of the boars smoke so much their lungs eventually disappeared but they still can live like any other normal creature?
Added: The ghost that are in the game. Like in SFK. How can your weapons hit them and their weapons hit you? Wouldn't you phase through them? Hell, I'm still questioning why they can't go through walls and what not.

We're making situations created from actual events in the game and realating them to RL. That is what makes them ironic. In RL organisms have to get energy from some where such as food and water and sunlight but in the game the characters can last a life time with out any of thoose.
Hm... actually... that really isn't ironic at all. It just seems funny to say it is. :D
Wait, I take that back:
5. an outcome of events contrary to what was, or might have been, expected.
