So I start a 25 Ony pug and down the her. Well
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=49496
drops and as the feral tank I state and ask that whoever wins allow me to create
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=49497
and then hand them the weapon back. A hunter wins, but out of curiousity to see what the spell proc was, he created the Thunderstrike.
He thought he could hand it to me and then realized the error of his ways.
I petitioned a GM to see if they'd allow him to give me the Thunderstrike. Is this a valid petition? Does anyone know if they honored this type of claim?

the hunter shouldve gave it to you first, I think youre just screwed of the situation. I dont think the GM is gonna give you shadowstrike (thunderstrike cant be traded off) just to let you get a thunderstike cause you never won the roll. Looks like you gotta just do it again and hope it drops cant cry to the GMs for every little thing

Before they allowed 'in-raid' trading, one could petition a GM if an item was wrongfully distributed. I believe it was because they got overwhelmed with those types of petitions that they now allow 'in-raid' trading. The uniquness of this request is that the Thunderstrike becomes untradeable but the original weapon is. So GM's are ABLE to trade off.
So this is not a 'cry', but I'm wondering if a GM has honored this type of petition before. I failed to mention that the hunter also petitioned a GM.

Well that does clarify things alot more if the hunter is ok with it ;) With that said I think you got a good shot of the GM transfering it to you. I was going off maybe the hunter shouldnt have rolled on it or something and did anyways, at that point the GM wouldve said tough luck if he rolled on it and wanted to keep it, but now I think your good and just gotta wait for a GM to get back at you.

Moral of the story, should you get into a bind, always ask to speak to their supervisor, and don't go down without a fight.
But remember to be polite when 'fighting' with a GM. One would look rather stupid getting themselves a temp ban for arguing with a GM...lol
