Isle of conquest, demolisher rams not working on gate(?)

On several toons, in this particular BG, the ram attack on my demolisher(s) doesnt appear to do any damage to the enemy gate. It does damage to players, but no numbers pop up on my screen when i ram the gate, as it does when i fire the catapult.
Whats up with that?

Are you attacking the right location? Some of the gates hit boxes are buggy at times.
