Issues in Heroics

I've noticed several other people having problems healing in heroics.
Earlier today my guild ran back to back, full heroic runs,
CoT: Strah
UK
Nexus
VH
We had no problem. We also had either a druid boomkin or a ret pally for those grps. When we didn't have at least one of those in the party we failed hardcore. I can't understand what is happening.
We tried Gundrak, couldn't down 1st boss
Me and Pally Tank
Frost Mage
Fury Warrior
PuG...Enhanced Shammy
Tried replacing shammy with a Fire mage... still no success
Then we tried Azjol, couldn't get past the 1st watcher pull.

Frost Mage
Fury Warrior
Rogue
I'm very well geared
at least for heroics
and mana is not an issue (

), the tank is over def. capped and pretty high on all of his stats.
Need some help, whats wrong. Tank is taking hard hits (aka sometimes half of his HP w/o Holy Shield). Fully buffed he is easily 28k in HP and 24k in armor (devotion aura). Link to

Kinda wondering what is happening bc in TBC me and tank never had any issues in any heroic. We steam rolled thru all heroics w/o any problems. He never had to be healed as much and I never had mana issues.
Any help is appreciated.

There are various amounts of damage which is now classed as magical which could contribute to the damage however both of you aren't REALLY that well geared. your mana pool is pretty low and without replenishment i could see you running OOM pretty quickly considering the cost of Greater Heal these days. There is nothing wrong with your spec's at all. some questions tho
I take it you are using CC?
and what is your spell rotation?

, my mp5 goes up to over 900/400 when buffed so I regen my mana fairly quickly, and when I'm buffed I'm over 17k in mana(I always use elixirs, buff food, and wisdom from our pally and int from our mage, as well as keeping inner fire up at all times), I've always been real big with having the most healing and mp5 i can get, thats probably why I'm always broke :P
Rotation really varies from boss to boss. Usually PoM on tank and renew and gh as needed. For bosses like another poster said I may spam GH. The biggest problem is adds I must say they are killing me, I'm dying b4 tank or I'm being CC'ed or stunned and can't heal the tank.
Really the 1st boss in Gundrak was a nightmare.
And the watchers is Azjol. I have a feeling it was the dps.
Has anyone had any problems in thses 2 instances as healers?
For Azjol I was the only cc btw.

Well day 3 on heroics. We stayed with our easy farm ones to get better gear. We also got better dps and our heroics went by even faster than usual. The big problem was lack of DPS since our warrior who we are helping was still wearing T4-T5 gear and some low blues here and there. When we got better geared players it was smooth. And yes I love the ret pally Replenishment buff. I didn't know the name of it earlier but yeah its my candy. We've just decided to be more picky on who we pug and when we get a good group of ppl we stick with them and do a heroic marathon.

Of the two you mentioned I've only tried Gundrak, and it was a nightmare.
I was actually blamed as the cause for the wipes because I wasn't getting out of the Poison Nova. Of course, that's hard to do when you're getting dazed from the 7 or 8 snakes that are killing you because DPS can't do their job.

He means the actual
Replenishment
buff, which is triggered by ret pallies, boomkin, and shadowpriests. Since you're always failing without the ret pally and boomkin you mentioned, I can only assume it's due to mana issues without Replenishment.
lol boomkin gives rep buff? imba!
ok. try this. don't cast greater heal. use your flash heal a little and WAIT till the tank takes damage. if your spamming Gheal and hitting him for like 10k each time. any adds he doesn't have threat on will come straight for your head. see if that helps.
fade is your best friend.

I'm pretty sure overheal doesn't generate threat.

yes but if he is pulling adds and you land a heal that heals even for a little bit without him getting slight aggro it causes them to come to you. other than that i cant see whats wrong
