Just dinged 80, wtf do I do now?

I want to get my character ready for some good pvp. Do I need to be farming marks to get gear? BGing? I never really though about what I was going to do once I dinged.

Congratulations on 80 and Welcome to End Game!
First, I would suggest that you give raiding a shot, you may find you love to raid, its something you can not experience until .. well, now. So try to get into a few raids with your guild and be responsible and learn the fight strategy on sites like tankspot.com or just youtube boss names like "BossName Strategy"
But to respect your question. If you want to go PVP
Farm Honor as much as Possible BGs AND wintergrasp every chance you get.
Make sure you are getting the best in slot item, for example, the vendor in wintergrasp may have better trinkets then those found from basic honor vendors so make sure you spend that honor well
Run VoA Instance every weekly lockout and hope some PVP gear drops for you. Read up on the bosses in here before you go in, this will be a good way to get a basic feel for raiding too.
One you have the gear and have done your research for Arena, if that is where you want to go, look for a partner this will get you into entry level Arena, and note, its no joke in there, the players are very experience and finding a mature partner, well, good luck with that.
For Arena you want to make sure you have the Gladius Addon and Check out Arena Junkies.
I will say the the most important thing to do, is research, research, research.

Run Trial of the Champion.
Try to find a regular farming group that you can clear 10 times in an hour or something. Lots of free ilevel 200 epics.
If you think youre good enough, try H ToC and get ilevel 219 epics.
You can try battlegrounds for honor, but prepare to die since your health and burst will be a bit low. Try to stick to Alterac Valley or Isle of Conquest if your gear is really bad.
You can move on to all the other Battlegrounds after a full set of 200/219 Trial of Champion gear or PvP gear.
Edit: Do a bit of research on gemming, specs, and rotations. A good/clean rotation is #1 key to dps in my opinion.

You gold farm in preparation for Cataclysm. Spending vast amounts of gold = Blizzards #1 time sink for their customers (i.e. flying mount training and special mounts/gear).
