Keybind Kick. If you are in a situation where you
know
you'll have to interrupt something, make sure you have enough energy at all times to do so. A
very
minor personal drop in dps is a trade off for a not dead party member. There are plenty of encounters in 5 man heroics where a completed cast will kill someone. Kidney Shot also works if the mob is stunable.
Also I just dinged 85 not but 2 days ago, so don't think I have had this toon for ages just blissfully drifting through content not doing my job. Most, if not all, of the lower level dungeons don’t require interrupts.
Welcome to the endgame.

Triple the size of your Kick action button on your bar so it's easier to click.

This. Also, you don't need to interrupt everything.
Is it a thrash pull? If there are some one-shot spells, focus on kicking them. Otherwise, kick whatever you can, it's always a good thing.
Is it a boss? Bosses most of the times are uninterruptable, apart from some fights where interrupts are a part of the mechanics (think of maloriak or nefarian p2). For this, you need to look at boss fight and know what is needed to kick.
DBM helps only a few times. The rest is up to you.

i was having the same problem on my rogue but im getting better through practice, anytime anyone goes to cast a spell that is my target i try to kick it. Im getting better and get must of my kicks in now.
Keep on keeping on and you will see improvement.

I suck at interrupting in heroics, how do I improve this? I never have enough
energy
to use kick or when I do I either don't have to hit kick because it's too late. Or maybe my timing is off or something, and my dbm isn’t alerting me when I need to interrupt so yeah.
I installed Quartz3. I disabled all the cast bar option except one -- a big cast bar for my target -- and put it just right of center on my screen. The cast bar will name the spell, and it can be customized to indicate if the spell can be interrupted or not. I placed the cast bar just to the right of my character. I can't miss seeing it.
If you know the fight a little, you will have better sense of when it will occur, and you can pool your energy. You need to be willing to sacrifice a little DPS to get off the Kick - for example if you are assigned to interrupt Halfus. Don't worry about damage. Worry about the Kick.
I believe Kick
will be off the Global Cool Down in 4.1 which might help your (our) timing.
Edit: Ah....thanks. I was thinking of this from the patch notes:
All non-damaging interrupts off the global cooldown will now always hit the target. This includes Pummel, Shield Bash, Kick, Mind Freeze, Rebuke, Skull Bash, Counterspell, Wind Shear, Solar Beam, Silencing Shot, and related player pet abilities.

Kick (and most other interrupts) have been off the GCD for a long time now.

If you have the PvP gloves you can equip them for a fight with lots of interrupts, so kick only costs 5 energy.

I put my interrupt on 1 for every class I play, just pick one that your finger is always hovering over. You may also want to play with Power Auras or some other interface so your basic rotation information isn't so far away from the target's portrait (e.g. large Slice and Dice timer on the top center).
A lot of classes are given some bribe to interrupt like reduced energy cost or some bonus if they succeed (Glyph of Silencing Shot, Rude Interruption, etc.) Alas, as a rogue you just have to pretend that 15 is your minimum energy level.
This, so very this. I alwas put 1 as interupt, 2 as whatever is the functional spam attack (sinister strike macro) and three for that one attack you use every 5, regardless of class (revealing strike). E is fine, unless you don't really feel like rebinding your strafe buttons to A and D or something...

Could also find a low melee damage mob, that likes to cast (healing spells are the best) at regular intervals. Aggro it, and just practice your interupts, if it gets low on health, allow it to finish a heal. You can use recup to stay up and just avoid any hard hits to keep from killing it too fast.
If on a boss, asking which spells are yours to interupt can help, one person shouldn't be assigned to all of them. And make sure you have some type of enemy cast bar active.

As long as your energy never caps you are not going to lose any dps... you dont have to mash buttons constantly so that your energy pool is always really low.
