why didnt you use distracting shot? its get you aggro for a bit and you can use other abilities to keep aggro. plus it gets the dogs off the healers, which is always a good thing.

Hunters are not meant to kite multiple mobs like that. It can be done but its a PITA. You're only job in that fight should be dropping frost traps to help control the adds and tranq'ing Gluth when he's frenzied.
btw... If youre chasing down chow who IS tranq'ing?
imo your raid leader dropped the ball.

Any naxx group should have two tanks, running on one tank is just recipe for fail with some of the fights in there.
Not to sure if you are familiar with the fight but you need two tanks on the boss to taunt back and forth because of the stacking mortal wound debuff. So you would actually need three tanks, as far having a hunter pick them up i can grab 5-6 by myself before it becomes an issue.

on their offhand can easily shiv it off, thats how we did it last night me and a mage on adds. He would grab the adds that were to far away for me to grab while I kited the mobs around in a circle, if I lost one the priest assigned to heal us would just throw a shackle on them untill I picked them back up.
To the OP I find it works best to throw a frost trap on the middle grate right as you jump down, I usally have it bound to my 2 key. Then as you pick them up kite them in a circle around just the frosttrap, if you start to get a few hits on you Disengage to the other side of the frost trap. I did it just last night this way without much of a problem it just takes a bit of practice, my suggestion is to go out and look for some warrior in world pvp and practice kiting them around the frost trap. The only problem with this is that I find kiting mobs harder then people but it still helps a lot.

You might using the term "tank" too liberally. A person that is kiting for one fight is not a tank.
I wasn't the one who used it like that the person in the post I quoted me was saying either a "Tank or Ret Pally".
My group runs two tanks in 10-man Naxx every week and we full clear in a few hours. You might using the term "tank" too liberally. A person that is kiting for one fight is not a tank.
But, this is besides the point. You shouldn't be kiting.
Is there a paladin in the raid? Is there a DK?
We had neither at the time, raid comp was;
Holy Priest x2 Holy Pally
Mt was a DK OT Prot warrior
Rogues x2 feral druid
Me (Bm Hunter) and a mage, (prob Frostfire)
Usually we only run 10 man on off nights and just grab whoever isn't saved. I see no reason hunters shouldn't kite they have all the tools, I usally only get hit 10 times max over the course of the fight in 10 man.
