I raid as a mage and latency can effect my dps quite a bit because it can be hard to keep a good spell rotation. At high latency during a heroism i notice i will be missing around 500 dps maybe, but most of the time mine stays around 100-200.

My dps dropped by 500 when playing with high latency. When I'm at my friends playing with 600ms latency but at home I play with 1.4k latency... 50 - 100 or 300-400 should not effect you so badly, I would literally kill for that latency. Just be sure to know there are people out there with worse latency than you :D

I didn't see anyone mention it, but Xperl has an overlay to show lag differences, help you eek out some more HP/DPS
That only helps casters and healers, though. Physical DPS and tanks use instant casts, so they have to deal with the GCD and not cast times.

Framerate also affects dps as well.
Trying to pull your dps rotation through a slide-show isn't fun.
And yes latency does have adverse affects on being able to output attacks as well, as your latency goes higher.

If my roommate is home and talking to her family in China (She's chinese, won't farm gold for me =( ) my latency can get up to about 1k, which makes playing on my mage unbearable, if it gets up on to 600ish it's unbearable to play on my feral druid.
But yeah, i've seen my dps drop about 500-1k because of latency, and doing something like koragon, or Heigan is impossible.
