Hey all, i noticed that the new legendary axe is going to be an ilvl281, so i was wondering if blizz was gonna bump the legendary healer mace up to 281, like they bumped it up to 245 in the last patch. Anyone know?

Val'anyr seemed like a bad legendary to me, but I'm not a healer.

most likely not. the only reason they made val'anyr 245 is because once people were starting to get it totc was just about to come out and they did not want people to quickly replace it.

Val'anyr seemed like a bad legendary to me, but I'm not a healer.
They had to make sure it was good for all healers, which usually means it's only good for paladins and sometimes resto shamans.
Not that I'm complaining, being the person with the current Holy paladin guide on these forums, but still.
Also no way would healers get two legendary weapons in one expansion, in back to back major patches.

That mace is a unicorn among weapons. No way in hell I am going to be able to get it, and if I ever do, it will be outdated.
To my knowledge there has been no information on changing the mace. They still have time to decide. Maybe the 10m ICC drops will make my guild able to do Ulduar hardmodes.
They fail.

All This....Terrible mace and blizz's excuse to just be like "see we gave you something!" without thinking about the actual use of the item....Meanwhile the new axe that is coming out for DPS and DK tanks = the most ^&*!ing ungodly piece of 2handed sexiness ever known to man in WoW....As has always been the case with melee legendarys.

I think everyone knew that mace was just meant as an added incentive for progressive raiding guilds to keep running Ulduar and that it would become obsolete once the newer raid content became available. Bliz could have shown some forethought in all of this tho by allowing someone with the Valynar mace or whatever its name is be upgradeable in icc to an ilvl281 by going through some kind of shadow bath in the same sort of process that creates Shadowmourne. That would have been a nice touch.
