Hey guys ,
I'm aware that elemental is the best spec to level in Outlands because of the quest rewards , so seeing that my shammy should ding level 68 today/ tomorrow. I'm wondering if the quest rewards favor 1 spec over another.

There are far more quest rewards in Outland for enhancement shamans/hunters than there are for elemental shamans, but ok, we'll move on....
The short answer is: Whichever you prefer to play.

I tend to disagree here. Shamans can wear mail, leather, and cloth. Just wear whichever gives best spell power, crit, and mp5. And just equip a shield to boost your armor. Caster stats are far more important then armor for an elemental shaman.

Take zethcarn's advice. I leveled 70-80 as elemental and I'm currently elemental now and I've found that there is not that much elemental gear out there from quest rewards. I can find myself wearing 2-3 leather and/or cloth armor pieces at any given time.
If you see a cloth or leather piece with great stats on it, roll on it. Nowhere does it say as an elemental shaman you HAVE to use mail armor. Even as I do heroics I find myself looting cloth and leather gear since elemental mail gear is so hard to find and the drop rates don't help (plate gear seems to be the only thing that drops in heroics for me...).

i find it wrong to roll on items when they cant roll on mail, you should prio the other casters if they need it, and you will win the mail items anyway, heard about a class that use spellpower-mail exept shaman(i know loladins)?
The sad thing is, thanks to Blizzard's great itemization skills, there is little to no mail caster gear with +hit rating on it. Therefore we come to rely on trinkets, rings, and neckpieces with +hit. In some cases, we might have to resort to leather or cloth to get +hit. It's not our fault.

The only thing for us that has +hit is our Tier 7 and 7.5 gear, which is still itemized terribly.
