Hillsbrad or Ashenvale. If you're on a high population PvP server, then Ashenvale is probably less gankination, although admittedly not by much.

You ought to get a quest that takes you to undercity, and from there you will typically go to Tarren Mill in Hillsbrad.

True, but they take forever! The quests are so spread out and there is constant back-tracking. Hillsbrad or Ashenvale is probably your best bet for efficient leveling.

The OP said they have done the Ghostlands, which is the secondary area for the Blood elves. Hence, going to Darnassus would only end in untimely death at the hands of the guards. :)
