So I recently got tired of playing my warrior and decided to bring out my hunter. I started out with BW/Readiness-spec, but as you all know, the upcoming patch changes that. I'm playing on a PvP server, so I need more survival in case I get jumped and came up with
this spec. I'm currently level 70, so first off, it'll be a leveling build, but when hitting 80, I might find it fitting for BG/Arena when I'm not fooling around in Northrend...
Having Scatter Shot for the increased kiting ability and Aimed Shot just for the healing debuff would be a great addition to Beast Within, right? And I chose to pick up all the survival-ish elements (increased stamina, dodge and armor, plus decreased damage taken), but is that necessary? Would I just deal to less damage to be a threat at all then?

leth: yeah, you're right about the ganking part, I really shouldn't worry about that, and to be honest, I think the ganking, I previously experienced, has decreased quite a lot after WotLK launched.
abernicken: Heh, don't worry about that. If I was to engage in arena fighting with a BM spec, I would most definately affect that statistic in a negative manner.
Unknowing: the problem for me right now is that I haven't really found my talent tree yet, as I've done with my warrior (Arms <3), so I'm actually just trying things out at the moment. Furthermore, I have a tendency to change my mind several times when it comes to spec'ing :/
So, I've been playing around with the talent calculator:
PvP5/13/53 which has a lot of CC potential, and I kinda have the feeling that I would go for this when dinging 80. In addition to that, it suits my dwarf engineer a lot :P
PvE11/8/52 - yeah, well, as I've read in a post on WowHead, the need for trapping is pretty much non-existing, so I just decided to go for the "mana battery thing" and Aspect Mastery.
11/54/5 - MM is the tree I'm most confused about, and the only reason I've even considered using it is because a good friend/guildie said the guild needed a MM hunter. Where should I put the last point? Or should I spend that point and the points in Improved tracking into Barrage and Improved Barrage?
But maybe I should wait 'til after the patch to speculate in specs...? Again, any feedback is appreciated :-)
