if you always have a partner then you've got a few choices.
partner=healer
spec for aoe+mana efficiency imp arcane blast, imp blizzard)
partner=dps with mana
get clearcasting and fire/frost.
partner=dps, no mana
go for damage, they can start killing something while you regen, then you can finish it off while they move on.
