Well first off, hit 85. After that, do quests in the Twilight Highland while running instances to get your gear lvl up. When you get 333, start in on Heroics. After you get 346 get into the Hour of Twilight Heroics and get a full set of 378; then, you can get into LFR.

Cata Starter Heroics = 329
Troll Heroics = 346 (I believe I don't recall)
Hour of Twilight Heroics = 353
LFR = 372
this is the correct list, for using LFD/LFR

You can still do them, but aside from getting gear for use in transmog or getting achievements there is no real reason to do them.

you can do vanilla/BC and WotLK raids. but none of these have a raid finder you can queue in for. the only way to do them is by creating a group for it.
all dungeons are aviable through LFD, just queue random and you get that which is around your level.
PS: LFR only excists for Dragon Soul, so when you reach lvl 85 you can only do BoT/BWD/TofW and FL by creating your own group for them (although they arent that popular anymore since the HoT dungeons provide similar or better gear.

Buy the
vicious
crafted gear (or whatever else you can get, like valor boots & wrists), they're great for both PvP and PvE for a fresh 85, and with ilvl 377 will let you get into instances for better gear quicker.

I would rather people miss the healing and also the bad crap than stand in it all.

Usually people will understand what is bad and what is good. GTFO is a good addon if you're needing to have your graphics low and can't see ground clutter well, or if you just tend to get too focused to realize you're standing in *!@#, or when you just don't know when to GTFO.
