Well, erruh, hm. Yeah, I understand, and originally I felt the same way about FoF and frostbite proccing together. But I was discussing this with my mage friend (I've respecced frosftire, originally frost, he's still deep frost), and we came up with the following:
1) Although
not ideal
for soloing situations against solo targets, FoF proccing off of a frost is good with multiple targets- one target is frozen, so use your crit chance on mobs that aren't frozen to do more damage to them.
2) FoF will proc during bosses that cannot be frozen, and this is where the real benefit lies. You can't freeze Anub'erak in place, but FoF procs, and then you have the increased crit change.
Again, this is just what we were discussing.

ok i reply as a question i tried hardly to explain lets imagine ur playing with the *frost mage specc* now
u have frost armor on...the mob is hitting u...mob gets frost bite effect...u for some reason didnt c that happening..so u used frost nova
Wat it used to be..the frost nova just replaces the frost bite effect
Now the frost bite carries on and ur frost nova is *********WASTED*****:O
now another realy annoying problem
U use frost nova...frost nova doesnt do its effect instead it actualy causes a frost bite (the chance thing works on frost nova?) which is realy awful as it is shorter by 3 whole seconds
the reason im posting this...i think as u noticed im a bit crazy so i need someone to confirm if these are new bugs..or has it always been like that..or am i chemicaly disturbed...
and finaly i was suggesting that deepfreez doesnt need target to be frozen as it is already vry situational..and a vry long cool down ...i dont kno is that too "imbalanced"? or maybe a shorter cooldown?
As I've said, I'm currently levelling a frostie, and I gotta say, that never happened to me.
If I Frost nova a mob that's already Frostbitten, it gets both debuff. When the Frostbite debuff wears off, the mob is still rooted by my Nova.
