J'ak nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah, let's go!" he said. He stood and grabbed his bag, flinging it over his shoulder.
Avala shrugged. "Okay," she said. She picked up her sword, but it slipped out of her hand and fell, slicing a large cut in her lower leg. "Ow!" she hissed, turning to look at it. Blood oozed from the wound.
J'ak gagged slightly and pulled a bandage from his pack. "Good thing we brought this.." he muttered. He wiped some of the blood away with the cloth, and when it pulled the cloth away the cut was gone, a thin scar in it's place. He gasped.
Avala peered down and her eyes widened. "How did you do that?" she asked. J'ak shook his head and looked at his hands, which were surrounded with a soft white light. "I-I dunno.." he said, looking at Tayni and Avala.

"It's every man for himself! Now run!" Malvern shouted, seeing the shack that was buried deep within the city ahead, "hurry or you'll be locked out!" he shouted.

"Um... I dunno," he said, a look of shock still on his face. "Am I? I've never done that before.."
Avala laughed and picked up her stuff, being more careful this time. "You should try it again later," she suggested. "That was pretty cool. Means I can get into fights more."

Malvern arrived in the shack, flinging the door open and turning to see the others rushing behind.
"HURRY ALREADY!" Malvern shouted, the pipe in his hand as he prepared to shut the door at any moment.

Sara tried to run as fast as she could, her skirt limiting her movement, but she managed to get to the shack when Malvern was about to threaten to close it for good.

Malvern saw everyone get inside, shutting the door now and locking it.
"Shh," Malvern said, "follow me," he mouthed, going over to the fireplace that wasn't burning and starting to move the logs off.

Sara bit her tongue to keep from making lashing insults and everyone over this. She slinked towards the fireplace, hoping her boots wouldn't cause her to slip inside it.

Malvern removed all of the logs, a metal surface where the logs once where. He reached down and grabbed it, pulling it free and revealing a passageway.
"Come," Malvern whispered, taking a latern that hung near and going into the passageway.

Malvern was going to answer when Kismia was making a lot of racket, Malvern rushing to her and stopping her.
"You need to be quiet!" Malvern whispered, holding the girl still.

The small group set out southwards. "How long will it take?" J'ak asked nervously, still staring at his hands even though the light was gone.
Avala shrugged then ran so she was beside Tayni. "So what happened with you and my nemesis?" she asked with a grin. "Do you need a cootie shot?" she teased.
