Hows rupture better than eviserate? From what I've seen a 5 point eviserate does about 500 less damage on average than a 5 point rupture, right so rupture wins right? Wrong rupture never EVER crits so why not use a finishing move that can crit an do a much more damage than rupture could? Yeah with a decent crit rating about every 1 out of 3 eviserates I do is a crit hit too.

Rupture never suffers from damage reduction. Eviscerate and all other instantly damaging
physical
attacks do.

Because rupture is a DOT, or Damage Over Time. Rupture never crits, but it can never miss either (I don't think it can at least). You can miss an eviscerate.
Besides, a 5 point rupture will add constant DPS, and with a decent crit like you said you'll get those 5CP up in no time. And there is armor mitigation, which is why garrote and rupture HAVE to be used against warriors for example.
Think of rupture as a deep cut, and eviscerate as a very hard blow. A plate wearer can block that hard blow, but can't magically heal a deep wound.

A player can miss when using Rupture, but if a target is afflicted by the Rupture bleed effect the damage will not be ignored through any normal means (a tick cannot miss, etc.).

One issue with your statement is that 1 out of 3 critically hit. That's 33% chance where according to you, Eviscerate will deal more damage than Rupture. Did you realize that means 66% of the time Rupture is dealing more damage than Eviscerate? One does not know when that 1 out of 3 will occur, so it is safest to Rupture each time than risk it.

... the whetstone is the better trinket...
The roguecraft spreadsheet disagrees with you.

One quick way to increase the dps of other rogue(or even melee) in my guild was to tell them to use this very simple macro
/startattack
/cast
Very usefull when you have to switch target, you can also remove autoattack from your castbar. You only need to spam your combo move and it automatically start to attack even if you have no energy. Also try to bind all your spell to close key and don't click.
when i run instance or raid, the only thing i click is my trinket. All my other spell are bound to a key. i use q, e, f, g, f1, f2, f3,f4, f5
they are all close to the wasd so i dont need to go realy far to press the button.
If you have no key binded, start with one, get used to it and add one more until your setup is complete.

I'm not gonna post a reply to defend my statement here rarely does anyone provide a good argument as to why sometimes is better, they say see it on some website and thus it must be better because (insert name here) know what hes talking about according to the fact hes done calculations etc. It works according to this spreadsheet which I made a link to HERE, yet the spreadsheet doesn't accurately reflect what damage you do EVER, which of coarse is then blamed on the player not doing their rotation right.

I explained things fine, without the use or reference of a spreadsheet, but if you're going to ignore any advice or further the discussion to enhance our quest for the spread of knowledge, then this thread is finished.
