yes, take the scythe for the above reason.
it used to be a symbol of warlockyness back in vanilla wow and still looks really cool.

the trinket has lost it's use and the robe will get replaced in days as you get towards 58 and outland.

If I had to do it over again, I would have gone for the soul harvester....just on looks alone! Back in the day, the Abyssal shard was a life saver for instances and such....but alas, no more free VW..../doh!

TAKE THE SCYTHE.! It's the best non epic weapon u will get till raid. The +hit is huge

The 1hit on it for a lock is huge... That means it's less likely a show old will resist. Mess likely ur pets taunt will resists. Less likely ur fear resists. And less likely that your dot ticks resist. Which can add up to be huge. One of the reasons that the zg patch and its gear was held back to a later phase and zg didn't come out with release or earlier than it did is cause theres so Much + hit gear and its a game changer for some classes. One of those classes r the warlock... Yea I know its just 1 hit. But it's gonna make a difference against ur first raid bosses dude to the way they made bosses harder is they upped their level back them... So the it is Gonn help u alot there
